It is with a heavy heart and deepest sorrow that I share that my husband Richard (Dick) Johnson of Ocklawaha, FL has passed away on July 2, 2026 at his home.

He was born in 1936 in Murray City, Ohio to Mary Matilda Sabo and James Park Johnson. He graduated from Etna High School in Etna, Ohio in 1955. He worked for North American Aviation in Columbus, Ohio. He then continued his career at Boeing at Cape Canaveral, FL. He then moved to Belleview, FL where he worked for Senco Fasteners for ten years. Later he joined a partnership with G&F Hardware in Belleview, FL for 25 years.

He married Marsha Maitlen on April 25, 1969 in Titusville, FL and they were happily together for 57 years.

He loved all sports but was an avid Ohio State and Big 10 fan. In his high school years he was active in track, football, baseball and basketball. In his later years he enjoyed bowling, softball and especially golf. He also loved country western dancing and snow skiing.

Dick had a very unique sense of humor which made everyone comfortable and happy.

He was preceded in death by two brothers (Robert Johnson and James Johnson) and one sister (Ann Lathrop).
