Richard was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He served our nation in the United States Navy during WW II. He served aboard NTS Sampson, AGC Brooklyn, SS Delaries, SS John Chester Kendall, SS Marine Devil, SS Blenheim and SS William H Wilmer. He continued his career as a Marine Welder and Rigger until retirement. He moved to this are in 1994 from Nottingham, Pennsylvania. He is survived by children David, James John and Sharon Semilia and one grandchild. He was preceded in death by a son Michael and brother Donald. Commital with Military Honors will be at Florida National Cemetery.
