Richard Alfred Fehmers, at age 75, died of complications from Alzheimer's disease on November 4, 2021 in Florida. He is survived  by his wife, Geraldine, of 51 years, his daughters Kelly Ann, Nicole and Tara Jean; their spouses John, Joe and Tyler; and his grandchildren Mackenzie, CJ, Brienna, Johnny, Haylee, and Violet.

Richie was born on May 12th in 1946, to parents Harry and Emma Fehmers. He graduated from Newfield High School in Selden, New York.

Richie faithfully served his country in the Armed Services for two years. Then he worked in transportation for New York Newsday as a truck driver in New York City for 35 years.

Richie was a great family man and a loving father. He married Geraldine Ambrosini in 1970 and the couple had three daughters together. He enjoyed golf, fishing, dancing, listening to the oldies and spending time with his loved ones. His family and friends always remember him as a fun loving, extremely kind and generous man who knew how to have fun and enjoy life.

A funeral service is scheduled for Richie on November 10th at 12 o'clock at Baldwin Brothers funeral and cremation society with a reception to follow at Havana Country Club.  All are welcome to attend and celebrate Richie's life.
