Richard Gabel Jr., age 74, of Ocala, passed away suddenly on April 6, 2023, at Ocala Regional Medical Center.  Richard was born on April 21,1948 to parents, Richard Gabel Sr. and Christine May Gabel in Orlando, FL.  He was an accomplished building inspector for over 25 years. He was a humble and kind man who enjoyed the simple things in life. His family

will always remember him as a strong and loving man who always put family first.  He has now been reunited with the love of his life, his late wife, Martha Ann Gabel. May they rest in paradise.

He is preceded in death by his sister, Adriana Walker.

He is survived by his children, Amy (Lance) Vassar, John Gabel, David Gabel, Ashleigh Riehle; his grandchildren, Chandler Freeman, Alyssa Paige Gabel, David Lane Gabel, Kayla Gabel, Jonah Gabel, Trustin Riehle, Cheyenne Riehle; as well as his only great grandchild, Aari Leona Catchings; and sister, Catherine Jane Schneck.
