Richard L Hoffman age 84, died on December 24, 2024.
Richard is survived by his wife, Sandy; his son, Richard L Hoffman Jr (Heather Hoffman), of Long Boat Key,Florida; his daughter Laurie Keating (Chris Keating) of Ann Arbor, Michigan and his daughter Carrie Delaney (Bryan Delaney) of Lakewood Ranch, Florida. He was blessed to have 5 beautiful grandchildren, Nicholas Keating (Anna Craft), Madeline Jacobs (Tim Jacobs), Rachael Hoffman Lee (Brad Lee), Rick Hoffman and Cal Delaney. He was honored to have one great grandchild, Freya Keating. He was also supported by his sister Cheryl Fisher and preceded in death by his sister Carolyn Thompson and her husband Greg Thompson.
Richard was born on June 14,1940 in Canton, Ohio to parents Robert and Helen. He graduated from Hoover High School and attended Kent State University. He accepted a position at Danner Press and Press of Ohio, where he worked as a printer for more than 45 years. He was a third generation printer who loved building long standing relationships with his customers. He served in the Army Reserves for 8 years. His strong work ethic was proudly passed to each of his children and grandchildren.
Richard was a great family man and a loving father. He married Sandy in1961 and the couple had 3 children together, 5 grandchildren and one great grandchild. His family and friends will always remember him as a man larger than life with a heart of gold.He was a man who always took the high road. He loved his family fiercely and was a strong fighter. He was loved by all who knew him.
The family would like to thank Tidewell Hospice of Manatee County for their services. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Tidewell Hospice of Manatee County or the Franklin County Animal Shelter in Richard's name. He will be forever missed by all who knew him.
