Richard Lee Jewett, born on March 6, 1938, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2024. He leaves behind a loving family and a legacy of dedication and kindness.

Richard is survived by his devoted wife, Mary (Richards) Jewett, and his two sons, Mark Allen Jewett (Amanda) and Richard Lee Turpin (Sharon Reese).  He was a proud grandfather to Tyler Lee Jewett and two granddaughters, Brenda Schoggins (Jerry Barrows) and Jutanna Cliffton (Randy Cliffton). His joy extended to his three great-grandsons and two great-granddaughters, and he was blessed to have one great-great-grandson.

He is also remembered by his sisters-in-law, Emma Marie Jenkins and Doris Bishop (Thomas), and Virginia Smith, and his brother-in-law, James Richards. Richard's extended family includes nieces, nephews, and cousins, especially noting Melody Shannon, and others who held a special place in his heart.

Richard was predeceased by his parents, Ruth and Russell Jewett, his sisters Carol Shannon, Diane Henigar, Debbra Gilbert, and his sons John Wayne and Steven Lee, along with his great-granddaughter, Abbye.

Richard was actively involved in various organizations, including the Army, Shriners, and Clowns, and was a proud member of the Swartz Creek 0458 Master Masons.

Richard will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. His spirit, love, and dedication to his family and community, Mid Florida Lakes, will remain in the hearts of many.
