Richard Wayne Marmon, 77, a beloved husband, father, and veteran, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2024, surrounded by his family. Born on August 12, 1947, in Bellefontaine, Ohio, Richard lived a life filled with laughter, love, and adventure. A proud veteran of the U.S. Navy, Richard served his country with honor, embracing the values of camaraderie and dedication. Richard was a devoted husband to his wife, Janice, for 40 wonderful years. Together, they created a warm and loving home, filled with humor and joy. As a father, he instilled a sense of curiosity and resilience in his children. His laughter echoed through the halls, leaving a legacy of love that will endure. An avid "Star Trek" fan, Richard found great joy in the exploration of the cosmos, often sharing his passion for the series and its vision of a hopeful future. His infectious humor and lightheartedness made him the life of every gathering, turning mundane moments into cherished memories. Richard is survived by his loving wife, Janice; his children, Kelly and David; and his granddaughter Christina, who were the light of his life. He leaves behind countless friends and family who will remember his kindness, humor, and unwavering spirit. A celebration of Richard's life will be held on October 15, 2024, at 2 PM at Baldwin Brothers Funeral Home.
