Richard McArthur (83) passed away on May 29th. He was a resident of Ocala for the past 24 years, having been born and raised in Beaufort, SC. He was in the Army and was stationed in Korea. He worked in sales and was the owner of "The Bed Store" in Silver Springs. He was a Christian and a faithful member of Highlands Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Betty Jo McArthur; two daughters, Karen Chambers and Sheryl McArthur; one son, Rick McArthur, Jr.; 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson; his sister, Melaine Fink; three stepdaughters, 1 stepson, 6 step- grandchildren, and 8 step-great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Alex and Nadine McArthur. The Celebration of Life will be held at Highlands Baptist Church in Ocala, FL on Friday, June 14th, 2024 at 11AM, with the visitation being held at 10AM. Memorial gifts may be made to Highlands Baptist Church or to Hospice of Marion County.
