Richard Charles Meadows, 84, of Lehigh Acres, FL, passed away on June 9, 2023 in Lehigh Acres, FL.  Richard was born in Harlem Hospital in New York City, NY on June 1, 1939 to Thelma and Fred Meadows.  He attended Power Memorial High School in New York.  He married Lula Mae Tolbert on July 2,1960.  He worked in Hospital Management for 10 years at Montifieore Hospital in The Bronx.  He is a Veteran of the United States Air Force.

Richard is survived by his beloved wife, Lula; his loving children: his son, Aaron and his wife, Cecilia; his daughter, Carolyn and her husband, Roger: and his youngest son, Richard and his wife, Miriam; his sister-in-law, Gloria and his niece, Ann.  He is survived by three children, 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren and is preceded in death by his mother, Thelma Meadows, his grandmother, Clarice Weeks; his grandfather, Charles Weeks and his uncle, Vernon Weeks.

The family of Richard C. Meadows would like to extend our sincere appreciation and thanks to all the staff at the Lehigh Health Care and Rehabilitation Facility as well as Hope Hospice for the love and care and support of our beloved husband and father, Richard C. Meadows.  During his stay, he had an optimal quality of life as he declined and eventually passed.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM with a Memorial Service at 2pm, officiated by Pastor Mitch Bradshaw of the Lee Blvd Baptist Church at Baldwin Brothers Funeral and Cremation Society, 4320 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida.
