Richard J Moran Sr. 03/30/1930-01/13/2019

Richard John Moran Sr, of Ormond Beach, Fl and Buffalo, NY passed away on January 13, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. Richard was born March 30, 1930 in Buffalo, NY to John and Hilda (Clark) Moran. He grew up in Buffalo and graduated from Kensington High School. In 1952 he married the love of his life, Elaine Marian (Brady). They raised seven children had 66 loving years together. Richard was a Buffalo Police Officer for 25 years. After retirement he came to Ormond Beach, built their home, and relocated with Elaine and two of their children. Richard was a member of the WNY Association of Retired Law Enforcement and a lifetime member of the Elks and Moose Lodges Left to cherish his memory: loving wife of 66 years Elaine; Daughters: Patricia (Raymond) Dittmer; Susan (Robert) Mascia; Carol H. Moran; Mary B. Moran; a son Gregory (Carolyn) Moran; Nine Grandchildren and Ten Great-Grandchildren. Richard was predeceased by his brother George Henry and two of his sons Richard J. Jr (Barbara) Moran and Timothy C. Moran. All are invited to celebrate his life and attend a Mass of Christian Burial at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 600 South Nova Road, Ormond Beach, FL 32174 on Wednesday, January 30th, at 11:00AM.
