Richard "Spike" Spychalski, age 83, of Winter Park, Florida, passed away on May 6, 2025. " Spike," as he was known by all, was born on September 19, 1941 in Michigan City Indiana, he was the son of the late Richard L. and Betty Jane (McNew) Spychalski. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Karen (McMillan) Spychalski.

Spike was a lifelong resident of Orlando. He graduated from Boone High School in 1959 and was a member of the Boone Braves' Basketball team from 1956-1959.  He retired from Aldan Electrical Supply. Spike enjoyed time with family, enjoying the company of friends, traveling abroad and The Florida Gators.

Mr. Spychalski is also survived by his two daughters Jeanne Melin (Rich), and Stacey Johnson (Mitchell), son Keith Houston (Casey), 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

A private family interment will be held at Greenwood Cemetery in Orlando.
