Richard Robert Starkie, born on December 4, 1927 in Queens, New York, passed peacefully on February 18, 2017.  Living in Ocala, FL since 2000, He was a longtime resident of Palm Cay. Richard is survived by Jean Marie (Statton) Starkie, his loving wife of 69 years.  Richard enjoyed his family, working in the yard, gardening and had a passion for classic western movies and the NY Giants.  Preceded in death by his daughter, Janis Marie Starkie, Rchard is survived by his 3 daughters Susan Starkie, Barbara Paladino, Patricia "Patt" (Starkie) Krug and his son, John Richard Starkie and his wife Mary. He was the attentive grandfather of 5 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.  No Memorial Service is planned at this time.
