Richard (Rick) Upton, born September 23, 1951, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2024, at his home in the presence of his loving wife, LouAnn.

Rick was employed by General Motors Powertrain for 35 years and then at ProMedica for 10 years.  During his employment he spent many years boating on Lake Erie.  After hanging up his hat, he spent several years enjoying retired life at Pirolli Campground with many friends.  Rick fulfilled a life long dream of moving to sunny Florida.  He spent the days combing the beaches for the perfect seashells to put in his impeccable landscaping.

Rick was a friend to many and was always there to lend a helping hand.

He is survived by his beloved wife, LouAnn (Okonski) of 51 years; sons, Richard Jr and Keith (Julie); grandchildren, Hailie and Khane; brother, Ralph; and many nieces and nephews.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph Sr and Velma (Mara); and his brother, Jerry.

A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
