Richard G. Zaccone Sr. 85, of The Villages Florida, formerly of Massachusetts, passed away on June 15, 2026. Born in Chelsea, Mass. to Fortunato and Caroline (Deluca) Zaccone. 

Beloved husband of the late Carole (Golbranson), with whom he shared 40 years of marriage on Cape Cod and at The Villages. A dear Father, he is survived by his son Richard Jr. and his wife Jeannie, and Richard Jr’s mother Donna (Milano) Bumann. Grandfather to Averi and Anthony. Brother to Lorainne Lewis and the late Carol Swanson and Paul Zaccone. Brother-in-law to Marjorie Watson (Howard). Loving Uncle to Karen Alexander (Scott), Loren Micciche (Ken), and Christian Zaccone (Michelle), and several nieces and nephews he shared together with Carole.

Richard worked his way thru night school at Northeastern University in Boston to earn a degree in engineering. He worked as an HVAC engineer for several companies for many years and ultimately became a partner of TMP engineer group in Boston.

Richard was loved for his sense of humor. He enjoyed travel and dining with Carole. After reading each daily newspaper, he would complete the crossword always in ink! Throughout his adult life he had a true passion for golf. A game he taught to his son at an early age.

Richard Sr. rarely missed a day on the course in his retirement years. He will be missed by his weekly poker friends, Italian Club members, his Church group and so many more.
