IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ricky
Eldridge
August 15, 1955 – March 27, 2026
Today we gather to honor the life of Ricky Eldridge, born August 15, 1955, in Eustis, Florida — a place that shaped his spirit, his grit, and his deep love for family and the outdoors. Ricky was preceded in death by his parents, Junior and Jody Eldridge, and we take comfort in knowing he is reunited with them now.
Ricky’s story is one built on hard work, devotion, and a quiet strength that everyone around him could feel. For 22 years, he poured his skill and pride into his work as an auto body painter, transforming damaged vehicles with patience and craftsmanship. Later, he built and ran his own lawn business for a decade before retiring — a testament to his determination and his willingness to put in the work to provide for the people he loved.
But Ricky’s true legacy isn’t found in the jobs he held. It’s found in the people who loved him and the family he cherished above all else.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Beth, who was his partner, his companion, and the love of his life. He was a proud father to Sonya and Nikki, who carry his strength, his humor, and his heart forward. His grandchildren — Robbie (Jade), James (Justice), Jody, Jesse, Reid, and Isaiah — were his joy, each one holding a special place in his world. And his great grandchildren — Everleigh, Maizie, and Sawyer — brought him a happiness that only grows with generations.
Ricky loved his family fiercely. He showed up, he supported, he encouraged, and he loved without hesitation. Whether it was a family gathering, a simple conversation, or a moment shared outdoors, he made the people around him feel valued and cared for.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman, happiest with the sun on his face and the quiet of nature around him. He cheered passionately for Florida Gator football and the Atlanta Braves, celebrating wins and grumbling through losses with the same loyal spirit he brought to everything in life.
Ricky lived with authenticity — no pretense, no show. Just a good man with a big heart, a steady presence, and a love that stretched across generations.
As we say goodbye, we hold tight to the memories he gave us: the laughter, the stories, the lessons, the moments of comfort, and the deep, unwavering love he had for his family. His legacy lives on in every life he touched, and in the generations who will carry his name and his spirit forward.
Today, we honor him. We thank him. And we remember him with full hearts.
May he rest in peace, surrounded by the love he gave so freely.
