Rita Cecelia Aldridge (Nee Hoey), 61 of Daytona Beach Florida, passed away on March 6, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Rita was born in Brookyn, NY to Christopher and Rita Hoey and raised in Staten Island, NY.

Rita was a lover of music, living in the moment and had a great sense of humor and loved to play tricks on family and friends. She had a long career in retail starting with Pergament Home Center in Staten Island, Lowe's, Sears, Sears Hometown Store and lastly Home Depot. Rita was loved by all she met in life and was a great friend to all. She had such a kind heart and would go to the ends of the earth to help her friends.

Rita was predeceased by her parents and her dear friend Harry Johnsen that was like a brother.

She is survived by her daughter Tara Hoey, Grandson Fred J. Lance V, Sisters Mary Florkiewicz (John), Grace Ann Hoey, and Gladys Roberts (Christopher) and her brother Christopher Hoey. Rita is also survived by many nieces and nephews as well as her lifelong friend Joanie Soares and Linda Demarais.

A celebration of Rita's life will be announced at a later date.
