Robert Lawrence
Blinn
Jun 11, 1946 — Jun 10, 2026
Lehigh Acres
Robert Lawrence Blinn, lovingly known as “Larry,” of Lehigh Acres, Florida, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on June 10, 2026—just three hours shy of his 80th birthday—at Gulf Coast Hospital.
Larry was born on June 11, 1946, in Hartford, Connecticut, to the late Robert and Suvane Blinn. He graduated from Riverside High School in California and later attended Ozark Christian College in Joplin, Missouri.
Larry worked for many years as a TV technician, but his true passion was sharing the love of Jesus. He faithfully attended and served at New Life Church in Lehigh Acres, Florida. In 1972, Larry made the life-changing decision to accept Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior—a decision that shaped not only his life but the lives of generations to come. His faith guided every choice he made, and he lived each day with the purpose of bringing glory to God. Through every season and challenge, Jesus was his anchor.
Above all, Larry cherished time with his family. He deeply loved his beautiful wife of 60 years, Nancy, along with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was known for his joyful spirit, sense of adventure, and the laughter he brought to those around him. Larry enjoyed motorcycle rides, days at the beach, gardening, collecting baseball cards, attending high school reunions, spending time with family and friends, and going on cruises. He recently returned from a special 60th anniversary cruise in February with his wife and children. Larry also had a heart for ministry and missions, participating in mission trips to Jamaica and Nicaragua and serving in various roles within his church community.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Nancy; his children, Ronnie (Marilyn), Debbra (Wade), Suzanne, and Kimberly; and his 15 grandchildren: Ryan (Michelle), Trevin (Dixie), Carina, Tommie, Brittney (fiancé Matt), Zack (Bailey), Jenny, Ty, Chloe (Jacob), Bo (Elle), Luke (Bridgid), Caleb (fiancée Halle), Emily (Michael), Micah (Haleigh), and Sydney. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren: Eden, Judah, Wyatt, Landon, Maisley, Cal, Cyrus, Raphael, and a grandson expected in August.
A celebration of Larry’s life will be held at New Life Church, 5146 Leonard Blvd S, LeHigh Acres, FL 33973 on Wednesday, June 17, at 1:00 PM. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Larry’s life.
