Obituary

On Friday, September 4th, Robert Edward “Bob” Castlen, Sr gained his angel wings after a hard fought, and courageous battle with cancer. Bob was born in Jacksonville, FL. He was a proud Corporal in the United States Marine Corps. Bob was an engineer at Kennedy Space Center where he was recognized by NASA Astronauts with the Super Snoopy Award. Bob enjoyed being outdoors hunting and fishing. Bob was a member of Park Avenue Baptist Church in Titusville. He was the bravest and kindest man, with the patience of Job, the heart of a true servant, and an undeniable love of Jesus! He loved a good laugh and practical joke… never took life too seriously, and always carried a sense of joy, humor, and positivity, even in the midst of his cancer journey. Bob loved to lend a helping hand… whether it was a project around the house (that man could fix anything), assisting with homework, preparing and serving communion at church, mentoring youth at the local high schools, or a community need, dad loved serving his country, his God, his family, and others! He was the biggest fan and cheerleader, from dance recitals and competitions, football and soccer games, weightlifting matches, and lacrosse games, he was just thrilled to be cheering for those he loved, and his granddaughters were his pride & joy! He loved us so well, set an example for us all, and shared the love of Christ everywhere he went! He will be deeply missed & forever loved! 💔Bob is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Deana Castlen, daughter Stacey Castlen Jones (Ray) son Eddie Castlen (Shelly Jenkins) granddaughters Noelle and Chloe Jones, brother Larry Cohen (Scottie), and sister Lawanna Castlen.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Bob’s memory to St Jude Children’s Hospital or Z88.3 Christian Radio https://zradio.org/
