Robert Gordon Copeland passed away on June 19, 2026, in Venice, FL. He was born in Carbondale, IL. on February 14,1934, to Jack Dewey Copeland and Lora Elizabeth Threlkeld Copeland. He served our country proudly as a Marine. He graduated from Southern Illinois University. He worked in pharmaceutical marketing and management.

He enjoyed boating, fishing and genealogy.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Lora Copeland, brothers, William Edward and Jack Donald Copeland, his first wife, Patricia Ann Goodman Copeland and niece Teddy Jean Copeland.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Frances Copeland, his children Bradley Copeland and wife Teresa, Michael Copeland and wife Cathy, and daughter Jacqueline Samuel, four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
