Robert LeRoy Boynton (Bob) 76, passed away after a battle with Alzheimer's disease on October 16,2024. Bob was born on December 12, 1947, in Streator, Illinois to Donald and Alcidean Boynton. He earned a BA degree in Sociology and Art from Southwest Baptist College in 1970. There he met his wife, Pamela Irene Herring. They were married in December 28, 1968 in Granite City, Illinois. Bob and Pam worked for Teter's Flowers while attending college. After graduating from college, they owned and operated a greenhouse and flower shop, Bob's Flower Shop, in Dwight, Illinois. Upon moving to Granite City, Illinois, Bob worked designing floral arrangements for a large distributor in St. Louis, Missouri. Bob and Pam then found themselves in Peoria, Illinois. Bob worked as a designer for Beck Florist before opening his own wholesale floral design business, Robby designs, in Morton, Illinois. Bob and Pam moved to Ocoee, Florida in 1984 where Bob began his 22 year career with Walt Disney World. He began in the Floral shop, then moved to the set design for event planning, eventually moving to Christmas Services making Christmas happen in the parks and resorts. Upon retiring in 2005, he began decorating homes and communities for Christmas and pursued his love for photography and art. His paintings in acrylic and oil have been displayed and sold in several art galleries in North Carolina and Florida. Bob was very creative and loved to work with his hands in many of the creative arts. He was passionate about his work and loved to share it with others. He believed that his talent was a God given ability by his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. As a member of First Baptist Orlando, he helped to design and build sets for "The Light" and "The Singing Christmas Trees". His love for God was deep and personal. His favorite day of the week was Sunday. He loved to sing the old hymns of the faith and sang in the choir for many years. Bob also had a fun loving, crazy side that not everyone got to witness.

Bob was predeceased by his son, Donnel Robert Boynton, his parents Donald and Alcidean Boynton, sister Donna Tutor, and brother William Boynton.

He is survived by his beloved wife Pamela, nieces Shawna Littrell(Chris) and sons Jacob and Tyler Rye, Tiffany Mody (Chris) and son Joey Tutor, Michelle Bennett(Gary) and daughters Gracie, and Hannah.

A Celebration of Life Service will be Friday November 8, 2024 at 10:30 AM First Baptist Orlando Henry 3000 South John Young Pkwy Orlando, Florida 32805 In lieu of flowers, please make donations in his name to First Baptist Orlando.
