Robert John Butkevich, age 90, passed away on July 2, 2024 at his home in Bonita Springs, FL with his loving family by his side.

A quintessential Boston sports fan, Bob was witty, authentic and courageous. Spending time with his grandchildren was his greatest joy.

Born on July 30, 1933 in Worcester, MA, he was preceded in death by his parents, Peter G. and Anna (Romanauskas) Butkevich, and sister, Eleanor Cyronak.

A beloved husband, father and grandfather, Robert is survived by his loving wife of 48 years Barbara (Martin) Butkevich; cherished daughter and stepson Anna Guthrie and Derek (Adriana) Martin; treasured grandchildren Gavin Guthrie, Jason Guthrie, Alexander Martin and Katherine Martin along with many nieces and nephews.

Bob graduated from Boston University in 1956 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and then served honorably in the United States Army stationed in Korea, securing South Korea in the aftermath of the "Forgotten War". He had a successful career in Purchasing at Raytheon, MIT and Nixdorf Corporation. Above all, he will be remembered as a man of integrity who dedicated himself to his wife, children, and grandchildren and enjoyed all aspects of life with them.

Per his wishes, private services and burial will be held at a later date.
