Robert Worley Byington, age 87, passed away peacefully May 8, 2023, in Winter Park, FL. He was born April 4, 1936, in Knoxville, TN to John Dewitt SR and Evelyn Byington.

He attended the University of Tennessee and the University of Kentucky. He was in the U.S. Army Reserves for over 10 years. He married Ruby Sue Salter on November 17, 1956, and they remained happily married for 66 years.

Robert was a banker for 40 years in Lexington, KY and retired from Central Bank and Trust Co. in 1997. He enjoyed fishing and being outdoors. He was avid follower of UK basketball, Major League Baseball, including the Cincinnati Reds and Tampa Bay Rays among other sports. Robert and Ruby were members of the 1st United Methodist Church in Winter Park Florida for many years.

He is survived by his wife Ruby, brother James, son Larry, daughter Jill, grandchildren Aaron, Caroline, Lyla, Levy, great grandchild Adalyn and preceded in death by his parents and brother John Dewitt JR.
