Robert Joseph Cahn, age 87, of Columbia, TN went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 16, 2023. He was born on November 29, 1935, to his parents Joseph and Dorothy Cahn in Boston, MA. He enlisted in the United States Navy following graduation from Dorchester High School in Boston, MA. Following his tour of duty in the Korean War, he attended and graduated from University of Wisconsin in Whitewater, WI. He worked for First Bank of Minneapolis, MN in his early years and went on to work at Citibank in Manhattan, NY as VP of Consumer Credit for the majority of his life. His assignments worldwide led to his love of travel. He enjoyed traveling, reading, swimming, and cooking. His family and friends will always remember him for his stories of the Navy and worldwide travels, love of cooking and reading, and his daily swim wherever he lived or traveled.

Bob is survived by his wife, Anne Murphy Cahn of Columbia, TN; stepchildren, Bryan Sellman of Stuart, FL and Aimee Taylor of Thompsons Station, TN; brother, James Cahn of Waltham, MA; and his sister, Carolyn Cincotti (Joseph) of Wellesley, MA.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Ignatius Cahn and Dorothy Teresa Cahn (Reid) of Boston, MA; his brothers, Paul Cahn, Joseph Cahn, Thomas Cahn of Boston, MA; and his sister, Alice Masterjohn of Garden Grove, CA.

A graveside memorial with military honors will be held at Nashville National Cemetery on Monday, October 2, 2023 at 1PM.
