Robert Charles Phillips, age 94, passed away peacefully at his home in Summerfield, Florida, on September 11, 2026, after a long illness. He drew his final breaths with his beloved wife, Betty Phillips, devotedly by his side.

Born in West Wyoming, Pennsylvania, on October 5, 1931, Robert was the son of the late John William Phillips and Mable Louise Coutzs. A proud veteran, he served as a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War, where he was stationed in Alaska. Following his military service, Robert dedicated his professional life to the aviation industry. He spent many successful years working with Aircraft Radio Corporation, a division of Cessna Aircraft in Boonton, New Jersey, before relocating to Kansas, where he worked in sales for Airwich Avionics in Wichita.

Robert was preceded in death by his brothers, John William Phillips, James Phillips , sister Grace Vann, Daughter Debra Thompson, and daughter Brenda Guillory.

He leaves behind a rich legacy of love and family. In addition to his cherished wife, Betty, he is survived by his children: his daughter, Joann Munn and her husband, Bruce; his son, John Phillips; and his daughter, Barbara Mater. He was the grandfather of 12 grandchildren and great-grandfather of five great-grandchildren.
