Obituary

Robert "Bob" E. Dixon of The Villages, Florida passed away peacefully with his family at his bedside on March 27 th, 2025.

Bob was born, October 8 th , 1945, to Russell and Marjorie Dixon in Boca Raton, Florida, but spent his childhood in Granville, Ohio.  Bob excelled and enjoyed all sports while in school, but his talents in baseball took him to Ohio University where he pitched for four years while earning his bachelor's degree, and eventually a master's in taxation.  Years later Bob was recognized by Ohio University as their Accountant of the Year.

After graduating from Ohio University, Bob enlisted in the Army and spent three years, mostly in Vietnam, earning many accommodations including the Bronze Star.  While in the Army and stationed in New Jersey, Bob met his surviving spouse Corinne, of 54 years, and started a family.  Bob and Corinne moved back to his hometown of Granville, where he started a successful business, and was active in the community coaching baseball and basketball teams, while also serving on business boards and helping with local charities.

Bob was a loving father to his three children Scott (Kerlyng), Kellie, and Heather Kotula (Ben).  One of Bob's greatest joys was enjoying his six grandchildren Tyler, Lily, Brady, Sofie, Rilynn and Cody.  Bob is also survived by two brothers Greg and Marty (Lori Lee); and two sisters Carol and Kathy (Pete).
