Robert E. Fisher Jr., 75, of Port Orange, Florida passed away on January 10, 2017 at the Gold Choice Assisted Living Facility in Ormond Beach, Florida. He was born on January 27, 1941 in Brooklyn, New York to the late Robert E. Fisher Sr., and Mary (Janello) Fisher. Robert was a retired Teacher, working in Connecticut and New York for 42 years and most recently worked at the Holly Hill Middle School and the Port Orange Elementary School. He was a member of the Port Orange Eagles, member of the USGA Men's Association, and a member of the Volusia Teachers Organization. He enjoyed golfing, playing tennis, and dancing. Robert was also an avid New York Giants and New York Rangers Fan. He is survived by his loving wife, Sheila Fisher; his daughter, Sue Gordon; his daughter Elizabeth Carlson; his stepdaughter; Bethany Brown; his stepson, Brian Manchester; his 8 grandchildren, Patrick Gordon, Sarah Fuchs, Anne Carlson, Robin Carlson, Ayden Brown, Connor Brown, Cole Brown, and Declan Brown; and his great-grandson, Noah Fuchs. Robert was preceded in death by his brother, Eugene D. Fisher. Memorial donations may be made in memory of Robert to the American Alzheimer's Association.
