Obituary

Robert “Bob” Forest age 86, went home to be with the Lord on October 29 in Ocala, Florida. Known as Bob to his friends and loved ones, he was born on November 7, 1939, in Manchester, New Hampshire, to Lionel and Lydia Forest. He was a graduate of the University of New Hampshire and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Bob built a life centered on family, hard work, and a love of spending time with friends. He worked at General Electric for 41 years, a career that represented a significant part of his life. Bob and his wife, Lorraine, made their home in Clifton Park, where they lived for many years and raised their family.

The Adirondack Mountains held a special place in Bob’s heart. Reaching the summits of all 46 Adirondack Peaks was one of his proudest achievements, reflecting his determination, endurance, and deep appreciation for the outdoors.

His family was an important part of the life he built. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Lorraine; children Karen Hollowood of Ballston Lake, New York, and Kenneth Forest, of Mooresville, North Carolina; and his grandchildren, Kimberly, Christian, Kathryn, and Cooper. Bob was preceded in death by his brother Paul.

Bob leaves behind a lifetime of memories for those who knew and loved him. His years of hard work, his pride in reaching the Adirondack summits, and his enthusiasm for flying are all parts of the story his family and friends will remember. The memory of the loving husband, devoted father and grandfather, and good friend will continue to enrich those who knew him.
