Obituary

Robert Franklin Moncrief, Jr., born on January 15, 1941 went to his heavenly home on November 4, 2016.  Born to Robert Franklin and Josephine Moncrief Sr. in Byron, GA.  Frank graduated from Suwanee High School in Live Oak Florida where he excelled in Sports being awarded the most valuable player in football and basketball, as well as other sports that he participated in.  He was an avid follower of the FLORIDA GATORS!  Frank pursued his career with the electrical power company, working 10 years with an electrical contractor for Sumter Electric.  He then began working directly for Sumter Electric as a lineman and retiring 32 years later as Superintendent of Line Construction in the Ocala District.  He is survived by Bessie Coleman Moncrief, his loving wife of 55 years.  His awesome daughter, Janice Stewart; two wonderful grandsons, Robert (DeeDee) Stewart, Brian (Michelle) Stewart; and one beautiful great-grandchild Grace; a sister Louise (Ben) Vickers of Douglas, GA and many nieces and nephews he loved dearly.  A celebration of Life service will be on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at First Assembly of God 10050 SE US Highway 441 Belleview, FL with visitation at 2 PM and a service beginning at 3 PM.  Officiating will be pastors Jim Carlson, Jerry Watkins and Bobby Williams.  In lieu of flowers, please make donations in his name to Hospice of Marion County.
