Robert M. Gilbert Sr., 84, of Cape Coral, FL, passed away on February 3, 2018 at Hope Hospice. He was born on August 14, 1933 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Lawrence and Alice (Layton) Gilbert. Robert worked as a Bartender, and he was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed gardening, loved deep sea fishing, and was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan. Robert is survived by his son, Richard Gilbert and his wife Kathy; his son, Brian Gilbert and his wife Sharon; his daughter, Dawn Armstrong; his brother, Larry Gilbert; his sisters, Ruth Anne Hayes, Jane Callis, Margaret Constatine and Betty Mitchell; and his 4 grandchildren, Adam Armstrong, Adrienne Gilbert, Krista Gilbert, and Ryan Armstrong. He was preceded in death by his son, Robert Gilbert Jr.
