Robert "Bob" Herndon Gilchrist peacefully went to be with his Lord and Savior on February 11, 2025 at Cates House Hospice Care in Ocala, FL. He is survived by his wife of four years, Kathleen "Katie" Gilchrist; his four children, Charlene A. (Paul) Clark, Jennifer R. Frank, Robert J. Gilchrist, and Sydney P. Gilchrist; his ve granddaughters, Julia, Megan, Madelyn, Lily, and Fallon; and his great-granddaughter, Layla. He was the beloved brother of Hershel T., Dahl T., and Jerrold J. Born May 16,1955 in Baltimore, Maryland, to his parents Robert J. and Florence O. (Sunday) Gilchrist, he was raised primarily in Delaware but also lived in Charlottesville, Virginia and Louisville, Kentucky. Bob retired to sunny Florida in 2008 to enjoy the laid-back beach life. Bob's humor and friendship touched the lives of many and he will be deeply missed. A life long Eagles football fan, he was thrilled to see them win the Super Bowl just days before he passed. He was passionate about music, and learned

to play the guitar at a young age. He could play most any classic rock or country song by ear. Bob enjoyed his music right up until the last day. As per Bob's wishes, there is no memorial service planned. He will be laid to rest in his most favorite place on Earth – the Virgin Islands.
