Obituary

Born in New York, New York in 1926, Bob was a survivor of the Great Depression and served as a Sergeant in World War 2. At 19 years of age Sergeant Grill was stationed in Caserta, Italy, when he met his charming wife, Laura (Martirani) Grill who was working for the Allied Forces at the time.

During a sweet and lovely courtship, Bob converted to the Roman Catholic faith which remained of prime importance and strength to him for the rest of his life.

Together, Bob and Laura eventually moved to the State of Maryland where they raised four children, first in Bethesda, MD and later in Kensington, MD. They enjoyed cook-outs, movies, baseball, hiking, biking, swimming, fishing and attending Holy Redeemer Church with their neighbors and friends. With his sincere and calm demeanor, Bob excelled as a salesman of Rolls Royce, Bonneville and the famous GTO.

In 1976, Bob, Laura, and their son, John moved to the State of Florida where they continued to enjoy the great outdoors and their faith tradition. It was while living in Naples, Florida that Bob discovered his passion for Human Services. He worked devotedly as an Army Recruiter and as a Career Counselor where he helped many find and maintain meaningful employment.

Robert Grill is predeceased by his sister, Sylvia (Grill) Flenner; sons, Robert Paul Grill and James Phillip Grill.

He is survived by his loving wife, Laura; his brother-in-law, Antonio Martirani; his daughter-in-law Helen (Chambers) Grill, his daughter Marisa (Grill) Hamilton with her husband, Rodger Hamilton; his son, John Francis Grill with his wife, Damaris (Barrantes) Grill; his grandsons, Daniel Hamilton with his wife, Sarah Hamilton; Robert Kerey Hamilton and Aaron Grill.
