Robert "Bob" Doyle Hamilton , born  May 20, 1939, in Lebanon, Indiana. Bob passed away peacefully on January 5, 2025, under the care of Cornerstone Hospice and staff of Mission Oaks Assisted Living.  He was surrounded by his loving wife of 66 years, Barbara, and their children.  Bob was 85 years old and now rests in the loving arms of his savior, Jesus Christ.

Bob survives by his loving, devoted wife,  Barbara, two devoted daughters;  Patsi Dean Hamilton Navarro and Rebecca Sue Hamilton; six  grandchildren, Tifanie,  Tara, Leah, Brant, and Dominic,  eight great grandchildren,  Aidan, Keilan, Curran, Dylan, Aubrey, Layla, Cooper & Clay and two great, great, grandchildren; Rosyn  Arlyn & Evie.

He was preceded in death  by his loving parents, William Forrest Hamilton and Glena Goldie Hawkins Hamilton brother, William Hamilton and his sister, Mary Ellen Hedge, granddaughter,  Tasha French and great grandson, Noah.

Bob graduated from Whitestown High School in 1957 and continued his education at Indiana Central Business College. Bob worked in the telecommunication field, first for Indiana Bell and subsequently for AT&T until his retirement. Retirement for Bob & Barb started in Panama City Beach, Florida an idyllic, picturesque town known for its sugar white sand and tranquil, turquoise gulf water.

Bob loved Jesus, his family, traveling, cruising, and volunteering. One of his favorite places was volunteering at the library. He also donated his time and talents to Catholic Social Service, the AARP tax program, American Red Cross Disaster Service, and as a member of the Noah's Ark Snowbird Club, where he taught people how to play bridge.

Bob will always be missed and remembered by his loving family and friends at the fir foundation that planted his roots with loving kindness and spread his love and kindness wherever he went.

Over 50 years ago Bob planted trees in Indiana that took root. Today those majestic trees stand tall, provide shade with their foliage, and continue to grow and thrive.  Quite appropriately, a tree will now be planted as an enduring memorial of Bob's life and legacy in the Econfina Watershed in Florida by MetLife.

Bob's Celebration of Life Service will be on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at 11:00 AM at New Covenant United Methodist Church in The Villages, Florida. Arrangements entrusted with BALDWIN BROTHERS Funeral & Cremation Society-Brownwood, 352-205-4210.  Sentiments are encouraged at www.baldwincremation.com .
