Robert Alan Hart, 66, of New Smyrna Beach FL, passed away December 3, 2021. He was born in Dade City Florida son of E Grace Hart and the late Robert Paul Hart. A lifelong resident of Florida Robert was a graduate of Mainland High School in Daytona Beach. During his high school years, he developed an interest in race cars and car mechanics. He built and repaired may cars during his life including the family favorite , a 1970 Barracuda. He had a long career with the Florida East Coast Railway where he worked as an Engineer until his retirement. Robert was a Mason with the St Augustine Lodge. He enjoyed fishing, Nascar, building race cars, cooking, hunting, and writing poetry. He is survived by his children; Erin Bailey Hart Anderson, Oak Hill, FL, Cheryl Sangaree Connell-Vick, Houston, TX and Carl "Gator" Cooper Connell, New Smyrna Beach, FL; his mother, E. Grace Hart, Holly Hill, FL. and nine grandchildren; David Elliott Adkins, Elise Vick, Houston Vick, Maria Connell, Thomas Connell, Angel Leigh Nunn, Hunter Harrison, Joseph Douglas, and Case Douglas. A memorial service will be held 11:00 am, December 21,2021 at Baldwin Brothers Funeral Home 1 N Causeway, New Smyrna Beach, FL.
