Robert Earl Hordies, 83, Port Orange FL died Sunday, January 10, 2009. Robert was born in Syracuse, New York and came to this area in 1994. He served our nation in the US Navy during WW II. He worked as an optician for several optical companies. He  held memberships in Veterans' of Foreign Wars and American Legion. He enjoyed fishing and dining out.   He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Marilyn, children Howard Hordies of Syracuse, Ruth and Harry Payne of Shrewsbury, PA, Barbara Harte and Cheryl Winter of Berne, NY, Mark and Randi Hordies of Syracuse, sisters Harovich Maddy of Israel, Zelda Wagner of Rochester, NY and grandchildren Thomas and Steven Payne of Pittsburgh, Katie Harte, Kaitlin Karpenko and Melissa Hordies all of Syracuse.
