Robert "Bob" James Lees, passed away peacefully in his home on March 11 ^th . He was born on April 27 ^th in Jamestown, New York to James & Irene Lees.

He is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Mary Jane "Janie" Lees; children: Jessica Bond (husband Oliver) of Sanford Florida, Erica Jastrow (husband Keith) of Oxford North Carolina, & Michael Lees (wife Amanda) of Tampa Florida; and three grandchildren Everett Bond, Madeline Jastrow, & Tyler Jastrow. He also leaves behind three siblings (Sharon Groves, Brian Lees, and Nannette Webber), many nieces & nephews, and a multitude of close friends from the Tampa, Edgewater, and Sanford areas.

Bob met Janie at SUNY Fredonia. They were married in 1972 and moved to Florida in 1973. He was skilled in many areas, including as a carpenter and worked as a small businessman creating custom cabinetry for clients in the Tampa area. He had a long history of serving with the churches they attended. He was an assistant Minister and sang in the choir, frequently singing solos and duets, at Grace Lutheran Church in Tampa. His most recent church as First United Methodist of Sanford and even when he couldn't attend in person he would watch online and sing along at home.

He loved completing events and projects at his house and others, being a volunteer with Janie at community events, and driving the golfcart around Sanford. One of him and Janie's greatest joys were travelling with family and friends, having taken many cruises and trips overseas.

The service will be held on Saturday March 29 ^th at 11am at First United Methodist Church of Sanford (Sanford, Florida). In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Vitas Hospice & Palliative Care.
