Robert Thomas Lloret, a great man, husband, father, brother and entrepreneur.  He passed suddenly from a heart attack on Friday, July 13, 2018.  Robert Thomas Lloret was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York to Jesse and Amelia Lloret on November 21, 1944.  His dad passed away when he was a young boy and his Mom who nicknamed him "Sonny" was the best Mom ever to him.  He is survived by his two sisters Juanita (Cookie) Manning and Fran Ogliaruso who live in Florida.  He developed close relationships with both their spouse's and children.  Michael Manning was like a father to him and "Mikey" Manning his nephew gave him a lot of belly laughs.  He moved to Staten Island and in his early years he was a top mechanic and transmission expert at a Texaco gas station where he met his beloved Phyllis.  He fixed her transmission and won her heart 40 years ago and their adventure began.  Phyllis had a daughter nine year old, Tracy, and he raised her as if she was his own, he adopted her when she was eighteen years old.  She was honored to officially take his last name. They lived together on Atlantic Avenue for 28 years and had many great memories with all of their neighbors especially The Palazzo's.  Allen Palazzo and Bob were like brothers they played chess, built decks together and even started a business "Double L Canvas".  He had a life-long passion for computers. It all started with his first Texas Instrument 99/4A computer which he still has in its official box.  He taught himself everything he could and created a life that was centered on computer science.  He started his first business "Double L Software" when there were still floppy disks, as the market evolved that didn't stop him from learning and growing right along with new innovations and so a few other businesses were created – Ahoy! Magazine, Lloret Industries, On the Town Magazine.  He founded and created the Pocono Mountain Magazine with his partner Nick Montalbano and for 25 years he was the President and CEO.  That was his baby!  He retired and left his home in Staten Island and moved to Ocala, Florida in 2006, but he didn't leave his home team the beloved "Yankees".  He made sure he went to one final game in the old stadium to see Jeter #2.  He still has the photo of the stadium hanging in his office, among many other Yankee memorabilia.  Being retired, that didn't stop Bob.  His mind never stagnated. He decided to bring a little of New York to Ocala and opened up Abbruzzi's Café which served real NYC Italian Ices.  He created the famous "Legend Sandwich" people came from all over Ocala and even, The Villages to get one.  And if you finished a 12-inch sandwich at one sitting you got to have your photo on the Wall of Fame.  After leaving Ocala he and Phyllis moved to The Villages. Once again, he and his wife and partner or as he called her "His Babe" were off to another adventure and she knew it was only a matter of time before he came up with another business idea and so he wrote software programs and created Trivia Challenge, Bar Trivia, Bingo, A Night at the Races and he even wrote scripts for Murder Mystery nights with dinner.  For eight years Bob and Phyllis his "Babe" hosted Trivia nights and they created a second Trivia family.  He brought lots of laughs, challenged people, okay maybe too many "Harry Potter" questions but we will let that slide. He was a proud American and made sure to honor the country before each game.  He excelled at writing software programs, was ambitious and determined at anything he set his mind to accomplish. He loved cars, painting, golfing and cooking just to name a few of his other hobbies. His favorite things were simple and joyous! He loved his boat "BABE" and being on the water at the marina in Staten Island.  He loved his two Huskies "Buddy" and "Bandit" and their best furry friend named J.R.  He loved riding his golf cart in The Villages in the early morning and enjoyed his morning cup of Joe at Panera. He made many great friends there, especially Paulie.  He was a great man and will be deeply missed but as Sirius said to Harry Potter "The ones who love us never really leave us, you can always find them in here (insert heart)"  Robert, Sonny, Bob you will always be in our hearts.  You gave your Babe – a wonderful life!
