Robert J. Melzer, 81, of Ocala, Florida, passed away on August 18.

"Bob" was originally from Pennsylvania and was a proud graduate of Penn State and The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He married his high school sweetheart, Mary (Cameron County High School, Class of 1962), and together they celebrated more than 60 years of marriage, a beautiful bond they honored by taking an annual anniversary cruise. After his retirement, he also found great joy and community racing remote-controlled cars with the OTOWs RC Racing Club and loved driving his golf cart.

Robert is survived by his beloved wife, Mary; and his three children, Scott (PA), Susan (NJ), and Sharon (MD). He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Pauline Melzer.
