Robert A. Mix, 89, of the Villages of Florida and formerly of Mundelein and Barrington, Illinois passed away peacefully on March 31, 2025, surrounded by his family and overlooking the beautiful Florida wetlands.

Bob was born and raised in New York City and served in the US Navy until 1961. He worked for the airlines in New York and Chicago for over 60 years. He is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Barbara. He is the loving father of William (Pamela), Kathleen Hyla (John), Karen Boedeker, Mary Katherine Boedeker, Daniel (Jonnette) – grandfather of Jordan (Hanna), John (Savannah), Kyle, Audrey, Eric (Jessica), Nick, Rudy, and Sasha, great-grandfather of Rowan, Theo and Owen. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Bruzilla Mix, sister Wanda, and brother Jack.

A celebration of life is pending in Illinois at a later date.
