Robert N. Quetschenbach, 85, of Port Orange died Friday, October 16, 2009 at Halifax Medical Center, Port Orange. Mr. Quetschenbach was born December 31, 1923 in Rochester, NY. He graduated from Jefferson High School, Rochester, NY and entered the US Marines Corp serving his country for four years during WW II in the South Pacific. After his time in the service he worked as a roofer and a carpenter in NY and graduated from the American Motel Assoc., Motel Management. He and his family moved to Florida in 1972 and co-founder Ted & Bob's Aluminum with his son and wife. Mr. Quetschenbach is a member of Faith Church and the Elks. He loved to travel the country with his wife and family in their RV and was the happiest when surrounded by all of his family. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Carol; four devoted children, Debbie Wakim, Gary Quetschenbach, John Van Horn and his wife, Pat and Ted Van Horn and his wife, Mary; ten adored grandchildren; seven cherished great grandchildren; four nieces and nephews and four adopted northern families whom he loved very much.
