Robert (Bob) E. Thomas of Cape Coral, FL, passed away peacefully at this home in Cape Coral, FL, with his loving wife, Geri Thomas (nee Ojek), by his side. They were married for 58 years. Bob was born in Chicago, IL, on April 26, 1941, to the late Edward Thomas and Eleanor (Klucznik) Thomas.

Bob moved from Chicago, IL to Melrose Park, IL, in 1958 when he met Geri, the love of his life. He attended Lane Tech H.S. and Northwestern University. For over 40 years, Bob and Geri owned the renowned Great Western Cleaners in Oak Park, IL.

Bob was also an accomplished chef and loved to travel. Above all, Bob loved his family dearly and absolutely loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Bob leaves behind his wife of 58 years, Geraldine Thomas (nee Ojek); daughters: Michelle L. Tomaszewski and Suzanne M. Tejeda (Robert); 6 grandchildren: Michael R. (Rachel), Jonathan R., Anthony E., Nicholas E., Robert J. and Madelyn M.; 2 great-grandchildren: Tatum R. and Cameron C.; sisters: Patricia R. Moura (Tom, now deceased) and Janice M. Zahn (Ken); and brother-in-law, Gerald R. Page (Constance, now deceased.)
