Robert F. Troy, MD, 84, died on Tuesday, January 20, 2026.

He was born November 3, 1941 in New Britain, Ct and has been a resident of The Villages since 2008, relocating from Hawaii. An Anatomist, Physiologist and Surgeon, Robert attended The New England Institute of Anatomy, Boston College and Boston University before joining the faculty at The University of Connecticut Medical/Dental School as an instructor in anatomy and physiology in addition to teaching surgical procedures at affiliated hospitals.

After voluntarily shortening his medical career, Robert embarked on an entrepreneurial journey that led him to establish and manage various business ventures in New England, St. Thomas U.S. Virgin Islands, Arizona, and Kauai, Hawaii, before retiring to Florida.

He is survived by three children.

In accordance with written pre-mortem instructions, no public funeral service will be held. Burial will be arranged by friends.
