Robert Joseph Welling passed away on August 25, 2026, at the age of 55, after a courageous battle with cancer. Bob was born on July 9, 1971, in West Palm Beach, Florida, and made his home in Groveland, Florida, where he built a life centered around family and love.

Bob was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He cared deeply about the people in his life and always tried to stay connected. He was the kind of person who would call or check in just to see how someone was doing. He remembered the important things happening in people’s lives and made sure they knew they were loved and not forgotten. If you needed him, Bob showed up!

Bob was easygoing, kind, friendly, and thoughtful. He had a genuine love for people and made those around him feel comfortable and cared for. His family was the most important part of his life, and he treasured every moment spent with them.

Bob worked as a heavy equipment operator for Sims Crane, a career he was proud of. In his free time, he enjoyed camping, boating, and spending time with his family. Some of the best memories were the simplest—being together, enjoying the outdoors, laughing, and making memories that will last a lifetime.

Bob is survived by his beloved wife, Lisa Welling; his daughter, Faith (Kyle) Welling Steward; his son, Alex Welling; and his granddaughter, Cora Steward, who brought great joy to his life.

He is also survived by his brother, Richard Welling; his father- and mother-in-law, Earl and Claudia Neuhauser; his brothers-in-law, Earl Neuhauser and Vernon (Diane) Neuhauser; his nieces and nephews, Lee, Elizabeth, Lawton, Kaelyn, and Hayden; and numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Kathy Welling, and his sister, Jerilyn Kennedy.

His faith was an important part of his life. Bob didn’t always tell people about Jesus, he showed them. The evidence of his love for God revealed in how he treated others.

Bob leaves behind a loving family and many friends who will miss his kindness, easygoing spirit, friendship, and the comfort of knowing he would always check in.

He was deeply loved, will be profoundly missed, and will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
