Rodney Sandy Acol Sr, 74, of Ocala, Florida passed away on May 31 ^st , 2025, at the Ocala Regional Medical Center.  Born in Waipahu, Oahu on November 30 ^th , 1950, Rodney was a proud U.S. Army National Guard veteran and a dedicated semi-truck driver for Kona Transportation and DeLuz Trucking, retiring after 43 years on the road.  Beyond his professional life, he was a man of many passions who deeply loved the simple joys of life.  He found peace casting a fishing line into the ocean and treasured his time spent on the beach, where the sound of the waves always brought him comfort.  Off the sand, one of his favorite pastimes was bowling – a sport he enjoyed for both the fun and the time spent with family and friends.  Whether behind the wheel of a big rig, rolling a strike, or with his toes in the sand, he carried a spirit of adventure, joy, and an easy smile that touched everyone around him.

He is survived by his wife, Robin Kerkhoff-Acol of Florida; children Melanie "Lani" (William) Laga of Utah, Rodney Acol Jr of Kailua-Kona, Gary (Zorana) Acol of Nevada, & Sonja-Jean (Jana) Bone-Acol of Nevada; grandchildren Ryan, Riahna, & Rachelle Laga of Utah and Charleston & Christian Acol of Nevada; bonus daughters Amanda Kerkhoff of Florida & Kaitlyn (Johnathan) Kerkhoff-Bernardo of Oregon; siblings Millie (Jim) McClean, Francine Cabanatan, Gilbert (Jaime) Acol, John (Elaine) Acol of Kailua-Kona, Jerome (Jeri) Acol of Ocean View, & Douglas (Nabila) Acol of Kansas.  He also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will remember him fondly.  Memorial services will be announced at a later date.  Arrangements are being handled by Baldwin Brothers A Funeral & Cremation Society of Ocala, Florida.
