Roger J. Demers (1935-2024)

OCALA, Fl.- Roger J. Demers, 89, passed away September 29, 2024 at Hospice of Marion County.

Roger was born on June 3, 1935 to the parents of Antonio and Yvonne (Chouinard) Demers and raised in Auburn, NH.

He was employed by Sears & Robuck of Manchester, NH for many years before retiring to Ocala, Fl. Roger's many hobbies included hunting and fishing with a special interest in trains and model railroads. Roger also served in the US Navy Seabees.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 69 years, Jeannine A. (Cloutier) Demers of Ocala, FL and children, Ken Demers and his wife, Dora of Redlands, CA; June Demers of Portsmouth, NH, Nancy Demers and Anthony Demers of Framingham, MA; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his brothers, Norman and Albert Demers and his son, David Demers.

Roger will always be remembered by his quick wit and great sense of humor. He will be dearly missed.

A funeral mass will be held at Queen of Peace Church of Ocala at 8:30am on December 3, 2024.
