Roger Lee Hagy was taken home to heaven after a courageous three year battle with cancer at 10:41am Monday March 13 2023 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Roger was born February 4 th 1946 in Vandalia Illinois to Robert and Lorraine Hagy. He is survived by his older brother Gary (Linda) Hagy and his three children . He married Judy Smith December 18 th 1965 . Judy passed away on June 11 th 2020 . Together they had three children, Ty ( Geneveive ) Hagy, Justin (Michelle) Hagy, Sasha (Joe) Peterson. Roger has 15 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Roger married Linda Rockwell May 6 th 2022 .

Roger was raised on a n 80 acre farm in southern Illinois. He enjoyed fixing and riding bikes all over the countryside and as soon as he was able to drive enjoyed fixing and racing cars. On the farm he learned to fix and maintain equipment and was planting , harvesting and raising livestock from a vey young age . He enlisted in the Navy Sea b ees between 1964-1968, he served in Vietnam between 1967-1968. His rank was E3 and served in MCB-128 th . While enlisted he learned electrical construction which helped bring him into a career with Central Illinois Light Company for 35 years. Roger was a member of the IBEW Union for his entire career. Roger and Judy retired to Southwest Florida in 2009 where they moved into Raintree RV Park and became very active in the park.

Roger enjoyed golfing, camping, traveling, spending time with family, being an on call handy man and loved working at Raintree. Roger loved his family very deeply and treated everyone he met as family , especially his Raintree family.
