On this date March 14, 2025, we lost our dear " Jolly Roger " at the age of 87.

We were blessed to know and enjoy our time together with him. He was kind, caring, loving, thoughtful and a true gentleman.

He was very creative and talented throughout his life.

How  " Jolly Roger " and I came to know one another, we had met at a fun place in the Villages, Fl. From there we began our journey as a couple together. During that time, I found out that his favorite song was Chantilly Lace by the Big Bopper. He loved to sing it ! So appropriate for all that knew him.

We enjoyed taking last minute trips to the beaches, going on cruises and spending quality time with our family and friends.

When asked  what his job was, he replied he had only one job and " That was to make Denise happy "

His best friend Kevin Kobel was drafted as a pitcher by the Milwaukee Brewers at the age of 19. They were long time friends and when asked the secret question, who is your best friend on the computer, they would respond by entering- their own special " Buddy " password.

He was a beautiful soul, with a heart of gold and was a gift  to me from God, to friends and our families.

He is survived by the love of his life Denise; his two daughters Shelly and Liisa Root; two grandsons Michael and Mitchell; and also two great grandchildren. Denise's children and grandchildren loved and enjoyed the special bond and connection they shared together with him. They will cherish the memories in their hearts.
