Roland “Pete” Edward Minogue Jr., 84, of Seminole, FL, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2026. Born in Manitowoc, WI on March 29,1941, Pete later graduated from Miami University of Ohio with a Business degree, where he met Sue Salmon over “Kegs and Eggs” at Mac N’ Joe’s. They married in 1963 and raised three children in North Canton, OH before moving to Fort Myers. Pete spent 50 years building a successful career as a CPA, including serving as President of Friedel and Harris Inc.

Pete never met a fraternal organization he did not want to join, and lead. A proud Sig Ep (famous for bringing his pet monkey, Soda, to campus), he went on to become a 32nd degree Mason, Treasurer of the North Canton Jaycees, Exalted Leader of the Ft. Myers Elks Lodge 1288, and President of the United Irish Club of SWFL.

He fully embraced his Irish roots, whether dressing as a leprechaun, toasting with a good scotch, singing “Danny Boy,” or fulfilling his dream trip to County Clare, Ireland. He spent many happy years in the Hidden Gardens community in Fort Myers, Florida surrounded by great neighbors, and later lived at Freedom Square in Seminole, where his caregivers quickly labeled him (accurately) “a character.”

Pete is survived by his children, Amy Pfeiffer (Jerry), Roland Minogue III (Laura), and Jennifer Film (Jeff); grandchildren, Chris, Jerry (Kristy), Roland IV, Katie, Nicholas (Anna), and Jessica; great-grandchildren, Grayson, Scarlet, Oliver, Miles, and Cooper; and niece, Rory Davies (Mike). He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Judy Wilcox (Paul) and Ruth Lucas (Bob); and his second wife, Carolyn Minogue.
