Roland "Ralph" West, 91, of Ocala, passed away December 23, 2017.  Born in Fayetteville, NC, he has been a resident of Ocala for over 60 years.  Mr. West was a US Navy veteran of WWII and retired from the railroad after 38 years of service.  He was an active member of Ocala First United Methodist Church and was active in scouting for many years.  He enjoyed working on his rental properties with his business partner Bob Ward who was like a brother to him.  Ralph also enjoyed the Elks Club, going to the Ocala Civic Theatre with his wife, Juanita and spending time with his family.  He is survived by his sons, Stanton West (Anne) of Salt Springs, FL and Gary West of Ocala; siblings Mary Cornwall (Raleigh) of Arkansas, Claude West (Geretha) of North Carolina, Jack Raynor (Delores) and Linda McKaskell (Mack); grandchildren, Hunter West (Amelia) of Orlando, Ashley Griesemer (Matthew) of Charleston, SC and Luke West of Orlando, FL.  He was preceded in death by His loving wife, Juanita, daughter, Sharon Juanita West and sister, Martha Johnson.  Visitation will be held at the Ocala First United Methodist Church Chapel (1126 E. Silver Springs Blvd. Ocala) on Friday (Dec. 29th) from 10:30 to 11AM followed by the Funeral Service at 11AM and interment at Good Shepherd Memorial Gardens.  Arrangements by Baldwin Brothers Funerals & Cremations 954 E.
