Ronald Lee Ingels, 85, of Cape Coral, FL, passed away peacefully at home on May 29 ^th , 2023. Ron was born in Indianapolis, IN to Dallas and Catherine (Simon) Ingels, January 19, 1938. He attended St. Philip Neri School, and graduated from Cathedral High School. Ron then enlisted in the Army and went overseas, finishing his service as a Paratrooper.

After completion of his service, Ron married Barbara (Cross) February 20 ^th , 1960 with whom he has 5 children.

Ron and Janie (Wilson) were married March 17th, 1990 in Cape Coral, FL, with whom he has 2 children. Ron and Janie lovingly renewed their vows February 25 ^th , 2023. Ron worked in the retail grocery business for over 30 years as a butcher in Indianapolis, IN and Cape Coral, FL. He then started his own business doing residential painting and cleaning until he retired in 2018. Ron was an NFL and Notre Dame fan. He loved to hunt, fish, read, run, and excelled in martial arts. He enjoyed volunteering at Grace Church.

Ron was preceded in death by his father, Dallas, mother Catherine, brother Richard (Dick) Ingels, sister-in-law Mariann Ingels, ex-wife Barbara, and his beloved Rottweiler fur babies, Megan, Ashley, Buster, and Kacey.

Ron is survived by his wife Janie, and children Kelly (Kent Fights), Leslie (Mike Thompson), Patrick (Helen Ingels), Jeff (Stacey Ingels), Stacey (Tom Mills), Kimberly (Tyler Sullivan), Michael Ingels, 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held June 24 ^th , 11AM ET, St. Andrews United Methodist Church, 2560 Villa Av. Indianapolis, IN 46203.
