IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ronald Di
Biase
November 27, 1941 – January 10, 2023
Ronald Felix Di Biase, born in New York City on November 27, 1941, passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, in his home in Ocala, Florida.
Ron was born to Mauro Di Biase (born 1898 Cupello, Chieti, Abruzzo, Italy) and Margherita Travaglio (born 1910 Manhattan, NY) and raised in the Arthur Avenue section of The Bronx. Ron attended catholic elementary and middle school in the Bronx and public high school in California. Ron joined the U.S. Marines in 1961 and proudly served with the First Marine Division. After his enlistment with the U.S. Marines Ron returned to the Bronx to live and work. Anyone who knew Ron from an early age knew he was a protector of others. Ron had a core group of Bronx "neighborhood" friends that he loved, kept in touch with and spoke of often (he loved you guys).
As a young man of 23 he met the future love of his life and wife of 59 years, Gloria Sole, while on his way to a party.
He grew up with his two siblings, older brothers Joe and Tommy. While he struggled with the separation of his parents, he matured into a hardworking man o f strong character and exceptional sense of empathy for others. Ron was a student of history and politics and loved to discuss these topics with his wife, Gloria, four sons (Ron, Chris, Joe and Paul), and of course anyone else that would listen.
Throughout his life, Ron Di Biase was referred to in many ways. He was a son and a brother. He would go on to become a husband and a father and a grandfather, and it's reasonable to say he considered himself a follower of the teachings of Christ.
